BMS Honor Choir Performs at Richland School District 2 Honor Choir

BLYTHEWOOD MIDDLE HONOR CHOIR PERFORMS AT RICHLAND SCHOOL DISTRICT TWO HONOR CHOIR

On February 2nd, Richland Two held our annual District Honor Choir performance at Ridge View High School. Middle school and high school students from around the district auditioned for the opportunity to sing in this elite group. Three students from Blythewood Middle, Alexandra Davis, Samantha Barker, and Shannon White, earned their spot in the choir and put on a fantastic performance. These students met after school to learn the music and rehearsed at Ridge View High School with the choir to learn three difficult pieces. We are proud of the hard work these students displayed and how wonderfully they represented Blythewood Middle School.

Richland Two Student Advisory Council

Greetings, Richland Two Students!

If you are a rising eighth- through 12th-grader, this email is for you.  Your Superintendent and School Board are working to create the first-ever Richland Two Student Advisory Council and we are inviting you to apply.

We will be selecting students from every high school and every middle school, and we are aiming to have a very diverse group of students who truly love their school and want to help make it, and our district, the best it can possibly be.

If selected, you will be asked to attend at least two annual meetings, one in the winter and one in the spring, and you will also be invited to participate in other opportunities as they may arise.  The two annual meetings will take place during the school day and transportation will be provided for you if needed.  These two meetings will run for approximately two hours and lunch will be served.

For the spring meeting, you will be joining your School Board Members and your Superintendent in a discussion about topics, policies, and items of your interest that have impacted you and your fellow students.  For the winter meeting, you will be working together with members of the Executive Staff to plan your topics to be discussed at the spring meeting.

If you are interested in this opportunity to step into a leadership role to represent your school and your fellow students, we strongly encourage you to apply to the Richland Two Student Advisory Council.  Applications are attached and are due by February 26, 2016.
