MAP Testing Tomorrow and Thursday...

Wednesday, January 11th Math MAP test 

   Thursday, January 12th ELA MAP test. 

Both test will be held during first period.

Some tips to help prepare students for this test:

 1. Get a good night's rest

2.  Charge their device overnight and bring the charger to school

3.   Eat a healthy breakfast 

4.  Arrive to school on time 

5.  Please encourage your student to take their time, read all questions carefully and do their best!

February 3rd ~ Job Shadow Day...

Save the Date!

Blythewood Middle has designated Friday, February 3rd, 2017 as a Job Shadow Day opportunity for our students.

Students may participate by shadowing an adult at a work site, for example a parent's job or a former teacher.  Please note if you wish to job shadow a teacher, you MUST contact that school and receive approval from the principal in advance so they may plan for your arrival.

*Absence from school will be excused once ALL the required forms and Job Shadow experience essay are submitted. Instructions are provided in the participation form, link is below.

Paper versions of the Job Shadow Participation form are also available in the Guidance Office.

Participation forms are due by January 30th!

​Students who do not participate in the Job Shadow Day experience will attend school and follow their regular schedule and activities.

BMS Choice Information Night...

Students interested in becoming a part of the Blythewood Middle School family are invited to attend our Choice Information night, Tuesday, January 10th starting at 6:30 p.m. in the  gymnasium.  After a brief overview in the gym, families will be invited to tour our campus and ask individual questions.

Lost & Found...

Students who have lost items such as; shoes, notebooks, lunch boxes, jackets, etc… will need to check the Lost and Found in the cafeteria before Tuesday, January 17th.  After the 17th, as a Service Learning project for Charger Pride, we will be sorting and boxing up all remaining items to donate to the Salvation Army.

Winter MAP Testing...

The winter session of the Measure of Academic Progress (MAP) Test will be, January 11th and 12th (Wednesday & Thursday) during first period.  January 11th will be the Math MAP test and January 12th will be the ELA MAP test. Some tips to help prepare students for this test are to get a good night's rest, charge their device overnight and bring the charger to school, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive to school on time. Parents, please encourage your student to take their time, read all questions carefully and do their best!
