On Saturday, our BMS ROSES volunteered at God's Storehouse.

Veterans Day 2015

Veterans Day 2015 was a great success as we honored our Veterans with a powerful and moving Veterans Day assembly put together by Mr. Tyler Abernathy and a dedicated team of students, faculty/staff and our always faithful PTO.  The assembly was complete with the presentation of colors by the Blythewood High School Jr. ROTC, acknowledgement by Blythewood's own, Mayor Ross, performances by our orchestra and chorus, keynote speaker Mr Cordova (husband of BMS' own Nancy Cordova) and spotlight speaker, Ms. Carolyn Gripper.  Veterans also stood during a video montage recognizing the branch of service in which they served and the setting of "The White Table".  To honor our fallen heroes, the assembly was concluded with "Taps."   We are forever appreciative of our Veterans for  their dutiful, faithful and unselfish service.

A tremendous partnership with our feeder school...

Our band students under the direction of Band instructor, Alisa Dunovant, and Round Top Elementary's Aviator Chorus, performed "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" during the RTE Veterans Day assembly.  We are thankful to Mrs. Mazyck and Mrs. Tucker for helping to foster this partnership.  We look forward to continued partnerships between our schools.
