Charger Kick-off
Charger Kick-off will be held for all grades on Wednesday and Friday, August 16th & 18th from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. All grades will report to the gymnasium during this time.
This year we will ask that 7th and 8th grade students who are new to BMS report to Charger Kick-off at their special designated time from 9:30 – 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 18th for a special social/meet and greet. Following schedule pick up, the new to BMS 7th and 8th grade students will report to the Media Center. Again, this special schedule pick up is for 7th and 8th grade “new to BMS” students only.
At Kick-off, you will be able to pick up your child’s schedule, meet teachers, place money on your child’s cafeteria account, join the PTO, register for Charger Pride, pay for P.E. uniforms (optional) and much more. P.E. uniforms must be paid for at the time of order. Please note student lunch prices have increased .10, so student lunch will now cost $2.75. We will have staff located throughout the building to assist you if needed.
To help reduce long waiting periods and long lines, we strongly encourage you to pay fees on-line via Parent Portal. Please note that the only acceptable method of payment at Charger Kick-off is cash, check or money order. Credit and debit cards will not be accepted.
In addition, to ensure that you don’t get held up in long lines during Charger Kick-off, please be sure that your child’s enrollment is complete. For enrollment and to complete important forms, please be sure to log into Parent Portal and complete the annual update and submit your annual proof of residence.
Sixth grade will begin school on Friday, August 18th, during Step up to 6th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Lunch will be provided. We also want to remind parents and students that the first day of school for all students is Tuesday, August 22nd. This will be a full day with school beginning at 7:30 a.m. and ending at 2:25 p.m. Please note that it is important for you to arrive to school on time each day.
