Important information on Safety Drills...

Good Evening Blythewood Middle School Families,

Safety of all students is a priority for Blythewood Middle School.  In light of recent events, so as to not unduly alarm our students and their families, we wanted to let you know that we will have an intruder drill tomorrow morning to practice our lock down procedures. Additionally, Severe Weather and Flood Safety Week will be observed in South Carolina March 4-10, 2018. The National Weather Service will initiate a statewide tornado drill on Wednesday, March 7, at approximately 9 a.m. using NOAA weather radios.  While we are notifying everyone of our intent to practice safety over the next couple of weeks, we will not always announce these drills ahead of time to insure that students are prepared and knowledgeable in the event of an emergency.  If you have any questions, please contact the school.
