Blythewood Middle School Safety Update...

Blythewood Middle School Safety Update
(This new feature will be a regular part of our School Blog & PTO Facebook Page)

At Blythewood Middle School, safety is our top priority.  To this end and in accordance with district procedures and expectations, we ensure that we are carrying out safety drills to include fire drills, lockdown procedures and emergency weather drills.  Safety drills are conducted on a regular basis in order to ensure that our students and faculty/staff will know how to respond should a situation arise.

We also want to ensure that our students are safe from threats.  Parents we are asking for your help with this. Please take every opportunity to speak to your child about the importance of school safety. Help us encourage students to not joke about school threats or make statements in haste. This includes comments that may be made on social media.  These comments, even if made in haste on social media, carry the same consequence.  In Richland School District Two, safety is no joke and no one should ever joke around about causing harm at any of our schools nor to our students, employees, and visitors.
