Congratulations to Blythewood Middle School (BMS) sixth grade student
Michaela Lanier who won first place in the 2015-2016 Letters About Literature
contest hosted by the South Carolina State Library. Michaela wrote a letter to
author Linda Sue Park after reading her book A Long Walk to Water for a book project in BMS Language Arts
teacher Mrs. Reeves’ class. Michaela is invited to attend an award ceremony on
April 29th where she will be introduced by a state judge and will
read her winning letter to attendees.
She will receive an award plaque and monetary prize.
