Counselor's Corner ~ October is National Bullying Prevention Month...

October is National Bullying Prevention Month.  Harassment, intimidation or bullying, as defined by the Richland Two Board Policies, is a gesture, electronic communication or a written, verbal, physical or sexual act reasonably perceived to have the effect of either of the following:  harming a student physically or emotionally or damaging a student’s property, or placing a student in reasonable fear of personal harm or property damage; or insulting or demeaning a student or group of students causing substantial disruption in, or substantial interference with, the orderly operation of the school. During this month, we will focus on how we can put a stop to bullying.  Monday, October 5 was #BlueAgainstBullying.  We asked for everyone to wear blue to show that they stand against bullying.   Unity Day is Wednesday October 21. We ask that you wear orange to show that we are together against bullying, and united for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion.
