RICHLAND TWO MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS PARTICIPATE
IN DISTRICT READING COMPETITION
On April 4th, Richland Two middle school
librarians held their 10th annual district reading competition. Student teams
from Kelly Mill Middle, Blythewood Middle, Longleaf Middle, Muller Road Middle,
Summit Parkway Middle, E.L. Wright Middle and Dent Middle met at Kelly Mill
Middle School to compete against each other answering questions about the
current South Carolina Junior Book Award nominee titles. Blythewood
Middle and Dent Middle tied for second place and faced off in a sudden death
elimination round. Dent Middle moved on to compete against Kelly Mill Middle in
the final round. Kelly Mill Middle won first place against Dent Middle. It was
a fun day of reading and competition for both students and school
librarians.
