Scheduling for the 2019-2020 school year is still in process...
Greetings Parents,
Please be advised that scheduling for the 2019-2020 school year is still in process. As such, schedules that may be able to be seen in Parent Portal are still incomplete and may be inaccurate as we continue to balance schedules and create sections based upon students' needs.
We ask that our parents and students continue to practice the lifeskilll of patience and cooperation as we continue to work on students' schedules for the 2019- 2020 school year.
Schedules will be finalized by August 19th, the day of Charger Kickoff. Please make plans to join us from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm. This year during Charger Kickoff you will have the opportunity to meet your teachers!

Honors English One Information...
Rising 8th graders who will be enrolled in Honors English One are required to choose ONE fictional novel of their choice. As the student reads the selected novel, he/she should complete a Double-Entry Journal in order to be prepared to respond to a writing prompt within the first few weeks of school. In addition to reading one fictional novel, students should also select ONE nonfiction book to read for pleasure. Students should be prepared to discuss the book with their peers upon returning to school. The requirements and additional information are detailed in the attached documents.

SIC Member Interest
Did you know that the Blythewood Middle School - School Improvement Council (SIC) is a two-time Riley Honor Roll SIC? Come join us!!!
The 2019-2020 school year is quickly approaching. As always, we are looking for dedicated parents to be actively involved in our school. If you would like to become a part of our SIC, please contact Mrs. Rachel Corvi at 803-691-6850, ext 85401 or email her at rcorvi@richland2.org.
The goal of the Blythewood Middle School - SIC is to continuously look at ways that we can improve the learning environment for all students. To this end, each year, the SIC comes up with at least one school-wide goal aimed at the continuous improvement of our school as we work to enrich the lives of our students. The SIC meets on the 4th Monday of every month from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
Come be a part of the Blythewood Middle School - SIC and help us continue our tradition of excellence.
