1. Select an item off of the family’s wish list.  Purchase the item and deliver it to Blythewood Middle on December 4th between 7:00am and 2:00pm.  Follow this link for more information:  .http://signup.com/go/uGDTCoe

2. Donate money in the car rider line on Thursday morning November 30th.

4. We also hope that some students will just desire to donate to such a worthy cause in the spirit of giving that has been the tradition at BMS!!

Impact Aide Forms...

Impact Aid Forms

Richland School District Two schools are funded primarily by local taxes. Due to the large federal presence in our area and the tax exemptions available to federally connected personnel, businesses and agencies; our district is eligible to apply for federal Impact Aid Funds. Impact Aid is a federal program designed to assist local school districts that enroll federally connected students.  The Impact Aid Program funds become  part of Richland School District Two's general operating budget and are critical to  maintaining high standards for educational excellence. Your assistance is needed in identifying students that may be federally connected as of our survey date, November 13, 2017.  Impact Aid Program Survey Forms were distributed to all students  on November 13. Please take a few minutes and complete the form for each Richland Two student in your household and return it back tomorrow. The information you provide on these forms is confidential.

1st Quarter Honor Roll Ceremony...

Wristbands for Roberta Start Tomorrow...

Wristbands for Roberta:
Help support a great cause!
Buy your wristband for $1.00 to help Lonnie B Nelson Elementary School get their next service dog.
Their current dog Roberta, will be retiring.
Roberta currently is a service dog at Lonnie B. Nelson Elementary School where she works with special needs students all day long. Lonnie B Nelson needs to raise a total of $5,000 to secure a successor dog for Roberta. All funds raised go to Palmetto Animal Assisted Life Services (PAALS). PAALS is the only Assistance Dog International (ADI) accredited organization based in South Carolina.
Please consider helping BMS raise funds needed for Lonnie B. Nelson to continue Roberta's work through a successor dog for their kids.

Wristband sales will take place on the following dates:
Wednesday, November 15th:
During Morning drop off through the car rider lines.

Wednesday, November 15th & Thursday, November 16th:

During grade level lunches

What's happening at BMS this week?

The Killian Transportation Department, is receiving an overwhelming amount of calls from parents stating they are not getting bus information during the morning and afternoon routes when the buses are running behind. To ensure you receive the most current and updated bus information, we recommend downloading the Free App.

iPhone - App Store- Look for Bb District by Blackboard - Once installed select our District

Android - Google Play- Look for Bb District by Blackboard - Once installed select our District

In addition, BMS is collaborating with Lonnie B. Elementary to raise money for a new service dog by selling wristbands for $1. A total of $5,000 is needed to secure a successor dog for Roberta  as she plans to retire after this school year. All funds raised go to Palmetto Animal Assisted Life Services, the only Assistance Dog International accredited organization in our state.  Please consider helping us raise the funds needed to continue Roberta's work for the children. A collection will be taken up during Wednesday, November 15th during morning arrival and during grade level lunches November 15th and 16th

Finally, students received their Impact Aid form today. It is very important the form is completed, signed and dated. Impact Aid is a federal program governed by Federal Law & Regulations. The program was formed to help make up the lost local tax dollars to school districts imposed upon by federal property.

Please complete the form and have your student turn it in to their homeroom teacher.
Thank you in advance for your participation!
