Attention 8th Grade Families...

Greetings 8th Grade Students & Parents,

The 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony is right around the corner! With that being said, we have important information about ticket distribution/pick-up and the promotion ceremony.  Promotion tickets will be available for pickup in the gym lobby on Tuesday, May 24th, and Wednesday, May 25th from 2:30 - 4:30 pm. Each student will receive three(3) tickets that must be signed for at the time of distribution. If parents/guardians are unable to pick up tickets during these hours, we will send the tickets home with your student on Thursday. A ticket is required by everyone entering the ceremony.

There will be two (2) Promotion Ceremonies on Friday, May 27th. The first ceremony will begin at 8:30 am for students whose last name begins with the letters A - J. The second ceremony will begin at 10:30 am for students whose last name begins with the letters K - Z. Students participating in the first ceremony will need to arrive at school no later than 7:30 am. Students participating in the second ceremony will need to arrive at school at 9:30 am. Students will report directly to the cafeteria.  The attire for the Promotion Ceremony is business casual. There should be no jeans, shorts, or sneakers worn for this special occasion. Also, attire should be school appropriate.

Finally, please make sure that you have paid any outstanding school debt. Students who have a remaining balance, will not be able to participate in the Promotion Ceremony.

If you have any questions concerning student debt, please contact our Bookkeeper, Mrs. Hardy.

We are so excited for our 8th-grade students as they transition to high school!

8th Grade Dance Cancelled Tonight...

Greetings 8th Grade Charger Families,

Out of an abundance of caution for our students’ safety and as severe weather conditions continue to threaten our area, we have decided to postpone the 8th grade dance for this evening.  We will be rescheduling the date for the 8th grade dance and will let you know of the new date as soon as possible.  We apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused, but our students’ safety is our primary concern.

Thank you,

The Administrative Team
