Q4 Interim 2 Available Today...
Our second interim report for the fourth quarter is available for viewing today, Wednesday, May 26th.
Please be reminded that our first interim report for the 2020-2021 school year was mailed home as a paper copy. Parents are reminded that all other interim reports at Blythewood Middle School will be accessible via Parent Portal (paper copies will not be printed).
If you have an Active Parent Portal account you may check your child’s grades each week. When you log into your account, the grades will automatically appear on the screen. There is not a “report” tab to click on in Parent Portal.
It is important to monitor your child’s grades through Parent Portal before report cards are issued. If you note that grades are not being updated regularly, please contact the appropriate grade-level administrator, school counselor or Mrs. Mazyck.

Spring Football Conditioning Cancelled this Week..
Greetings Charger Families,
Spring conditioning was supposed to continue this week May 24th, 25th, and conclude on the 26th. The Athletics Department at Blythewood Middle School is cancelling spring football conditioning for this week due to expected high temperatures. We will continue to keep you updated as additional information regarding football becomes available. As a reminder, our notifications are sent via our usual outlets: PTO Facebook page, ConnectEd and our school blog.

Return of Textbooks and Library Books...
Greetings Charger Families,
As the end of the school year rapidly approaches, it is time for us to begin collecting textbooks and library books. We are asking that our face to face students bring in their textbooks and library books next Friday, May 28th. Our virtual students can also begin bringing in their textbooks on Friday, May 28th during the hours of 11:30 am - 2:00 pm and again June 1st, 2nd & 3rd between the hours of 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm. Students will drop off these items in the gymnasium lobby. Unless a student is withdrawing from the district, they will hold on to their chromebook for the 2021-2022 school year.
Please note: Any textbooks and library books that are not returned will be added to your student's debt list and you will be billed accordingly.

Many thanks to you and your 6th grade student(s) for another great day of testing. Today was our final day of testing - SC PASS, in the content area of science. Today, only our 6th grade students tested.
Our schedule for the remainder of the day, Tuesday, May 18th, for 6th grade students ONLY, is as follows (7th & 8th grade students are on their regular schedule):
6th Period - 10:30 - 10:57
Lunch - 11:00 - 12:30
1st Period (Enrichment) - 12:33 - 1:15
2nd Period (Enrichment) - 1:18 - 2:00
Please note that students that did not come in for testing should have had an asynchronous assignment posted in each of their teachers Google Meets. If a student did not come in for testing they should also plan to join in virtually for class at the completion of testing.
If a student does not join in to class they will be marked absent; however, upon completing the DPA, the absence will be corrected.

Alternate Schedule for Thursday, May 13th...
Greetings Charger Families,
Many thanks to you and your student for another great day of testing. Today was day 3 of SC READY, our students tested in the content area of math. Once again, our students worked really hard and put forth lots of effort. We are truly proud of them!
Next Tuesday, May 18th, only our 6th grade students will be taking the SC PASS test in the content area of science. We look forward to once again, welcoming our 6th grade virtual students into the building for SC PASS testing along with our face to face students. Students may sign out after testing if they desire.
Our schedule for the remainder of today, Thursday, May 13th, is as follows:
Lunch: 12:00 - 12:45
1st Period: 12:48 - 1:09
3rd Period: 1:12 - 1:33
5th Period: 1:36 - 2:00
As a reminder, students that did not come in for testing should have had an asynchronous assignment posted in their teachers Google Meet. Students not coming in for testing should plan to join in virtually for class at the completion of testing each day. Finally, as a special treat to our students today, we ordered corn dogs from Sonic Drive-In on Hardscrabble Road. Much to our surprise, the owner/operator and a former Blythewood Middle School parent, Jamie Raub, donated all of the corn dogs to our students and staff. Many. many thanks to Mr. Raub for this special treat for our students and staff during testing season! What a special surprise! Thank you Sonic!
