Important Chromebook Information

Attention parents and students:

On Wednesday September 3rd we will be issuing Chromebooks to students.  In order to make this day as smooth as possible for all involved please make sure the following items are addressed prior to Wednesday:

1)  Locate your child's Chromebook Carrying case.  If your child was a 6th, 7th, or 8th grade student in the district last year they should have taken their case home.  New 6th grade or new students to the district will get a brand new case when they get their device.  Please be aware that students are to keep this case through 12th grade in Richland School District Two.  Students will have to purchase a new case if the one issued is lost or damaged.  Students please remember that in order to get a Chromebook you must have your case with you or you will be unable to get your device.

2)  Data Management Plan - (Take-Home) (In-School) If you plan for your child to take their device home please make sure you have completed the necessary paperwork and payment with Mrs. Powell, our school bookkeeper.  803 691-6850 ext. 85404

3)  RUP (Responsible Use Policy) - Completion of this allows students to log-on to district technology.  You may have completed this already by doing student registration on InfoSnap.  However, if you have registered your child you will need to complete a paper copy of the RUP before your child will be able to log-on to District technology or be issued a Chromebook.

Thank you for your cooperation in these matters.  We can't wait for your child to have this wonderful tool for learning.  Lets continuing with having a Blockbuster Year!
