Chromebook Roll Out...

Good evening Charger Families!

Chromebook Roll Out
Welcome to a new school year.  I hope all had a great first day here at BMS.  I wanted to take a moment and write everyone to give you an update on Chromebook roll-out and log-in questions. Many students received their device at Charger Kick-off last week.  If you did not come to one of these days to pick up a device, Mr. Abernathy, TLC, is working on delivering them to students this week.  If your child did not receive a device today, please know Mr. Abernathy is working through the grade levels and delivering them as he is able to confirm the Computing Device Insurance has been paid.  This fee, payable in Parent Portal, covers first time damages for the device during the 2017-2018 school year. Thank you for your patience with this process.

Passwords and Log-in
For our new students or for those who are having difficulty logging into their Chromebook device, we are working to help students with their username and passwords.

Students' email addresses are their student number (12345678). Students who have 12 digit number do not use the "7900" and those that only have 5 numbers need to put 3 "000s" in front of their numbers to make their email address (ex. 00012345) 12345678@richland2.org

Mr. Abernathy and the faculty will be working with students this week to help them in generating a password so that they can log-in to the device.  Once a child knows their password if at any point they want to change their password they can go to Password.richland2.org website and update it.  Please note, student passwords require four criteria: at least 8 characters in length, letter, number, and special characters (!, @, $, ^). An example of an acceptable password is "football10!".

If there are questions or concerns please feel free to contact Mr. Abernathy, tabernathy@richland2.org.  Thank you and have a great night!
