Student ID Policy...

Greetings Blythewood Middle School Families,

Beginning Tuesday, September 5, 2017, we will fully enforce our ID procedures at Blythewood Middle School.  Over the past two weeks, we have spent time making sure that every student has an ID and we have reviewed our procedures with the students multiple times.  Students at Blythewood Middle School wear an ID for safety to be easily identified by all faculty and staff.  Further, the ID allows for efficiency and accountability when the students visit the media center and the cafeteria.  For these reasons, primarily safety, we ask that you encourage your child to have their ID on at school every day.
Our ID procedures are below:
·         Students are asked to wear the school issued ID on a lanyard around their neck.
·         Students should not cover their picture or deface the ID in any way.
·         Students who forget or lose their ID's may purchase one in the morning from 7:00 - 7:20 in the media center for $5.  Lanyards cost $1.
·         When students are unable to purchase a replacement ID, they will be issued a temporary ID during Advisory, without consequence, up to three times per nine-weeks.  Once a temporary ID is issued, it is counted towards the three.  Any IDs received at the front desk after 7:30 a.m., will be given to the student; however, the violation will still be recorded.
·         After the third time, students will be issued a lunch detention.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your child's grade level administrator.
