Counselor's Corner ~ Unity Day...

We are excited to share with you that our school community will be celebrating Unity Day on Wednesday, October 21 in conjunction with our Virtual Walk at School Day.

Unity Day is an annual event occurring during National Bullying Prevention Month in October that promotes joining together to create healthier communities through kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. It was started by PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center in 2011 and is now celebrated around the world.  We want to encourage our families to participate in our virtual Walk At School Day by participating in any kind of outdoor physical activity, whether it's running, walking, riding a bike or something else. The goal of this event is to increase physical activity and raise awareness for safer walking conditions.

Please wear orange on October 21 to show that we are united against bullying and participate in our Virtual Walk At School Day.   Share your pictures with us on the BMS PTO Facebook page.  We hope you’ll take this opportunity to talk to your children about bullying prevention and all the positive things we can do to make healthier communities.
