Interim 2 Quarter 2 Available Today...
As a reminder, our second interim for the second quarter is available for viewing on Parent Portal on Tuesday, December 14, 2021.
If you have an Active Parent Portal account you may check your child’s grades each week. Students’ grades should be updated weekly.
When you log into your account, the grades will automatically appear on the screen. There is not a “report” tab to click on in Parent Portal.
It is important to monitor your child’s grades through Parent Portal before report cards are issued. If you note that grades are not being updated regularly, please contact the appropriate grade-level administrator, school counselor, or Mrs. Mazyck. Again, students’ grades should be updated weekly.
Thank you.
Important Reminders & Updates...
Greetings Charger Families,
As we continue to “Countdown to Winter Break,” we have a few reminders and updates that we would like to make you aware of:
Please be reminded that Interim Reports will be available for viewing in Parent Portal today, Tuesday, December14th. As a reminder, Study Hall is available to our students every Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 6:50 am - 7:30 am. During Study Hall, students have the opportunity to complete missing assignments, as well as get additional assistance from their teachers. In addition to Study Hall, students also have Academic Time during their Advisory period every Monday and Thursday from 7:37 am - 8:00 am. This is yet another opportunity for our students to work on missing assignments and get assistance from their teachers as needed. Your student's grades should be updated weekly. Please contact your student's grade-level Administrator or School Counselor with any concerns.
On Wednesday, December 15th, our “Girls With Pearls” mentoring group, in conjunction with Blythewood High School’s “Winter Wishes” will host a Dance-A-Thon during each grade-level Enrichment time. All money from the entrance to the Dance-A-Thon will benefit Sistercare. The cost for entry is $2. Concessions will also be sold. For more information click here.
As a reminder, Friday, December 17th is an Early Dismissal Day. Similar to our other Early Dismissal Days this year, we will work to fill in instructional gaps that may exist for our students as a result of the pandemic. Our schedule on Early Dismissal days can be found here. Please be reminded that students will be released at 10:45 am. All car riders should be picked up by 11:30 am. Our Charger Pride After Care Program will be closed Friday, December 17th and will not be available as an option for aftercare.
As we return from Winter Break, we are asking all students to bring in a water bottle. Please note that water bottles were listed on the school supply list at the beginning of the school year. While we have been supplying students with cups as needed; we are no longer able to provide cups after Winter Break. Please ensure that you student has a water bottle if they desire to get water as cups will no longer be provided by the school. Students will still be able to get water from the water filling station; however, they will need to supply their own water bottles.
Finally, please continue to review our Academic Procedures and updates provided here. Please note that Content Recovery/Administrative Rule IKADD-R will not be available for end of 9 weeks tests/exams.
As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the school.
Thank you,
The Admin Team
