Application Information: Applications: Must be completed online at the district website beginning on December 13, 2021.  Applications will close on January 26, 2022 @ 5:00pm. Interviews: Horizon/IB student interviews will take place on February 2, 2022.  Applicants will be informed of the time of their interviews via email after applications have been completed on-line and processed.  A writing sample will be completed on the day of their interview. Horizon Selection process: Evaluation of students is based on academic ability, test scores, interview scores,  grades, teacher recommendation, and a writing sample. Algebra 1 and one-year of a foreign language are recommended courses.     What do parents need to do? Complete an online application from the District Web site For Horizon Candidates: Prepare your child for the scheduled interview/writing sample on Feb. 2, 2022. Notification of acceptance: online via the Choice Portal, March 14 - 18, 2022.
