Teams ~ The Hour of Code

Blythewood Middle School kicked off participation in the global movement in a week long event, December 7^th -13^th , known as The Hour of Code. The Hour of Code is a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify code and show that anybody can learn the basics. Mr. Hoffman’s TEAMS class hosted an IT-oLogy volunteer Kirk Carlson who shared his background in Engineering and coding to over a hundred 6^th, 7^th, and 8^th grade students. Students enjoyed being able to try several tutorials such as: Star Wars: Building a Galaxy with Code, Minecraft with Code, and Code with Anna and Elsa. Thanks to IT-oLogy, Kirk Carlson, and all the other volunteers for their support within the community.
