The Crossover author, Kwame Alexander is coming to BMS

On Friday, January 29^th, Blythewood Middle hosted its annual Read a Book in a Day Event.  The school read the book The Crossover by Kwame Alexander in a whole day. This year guest readers from the local community and the district were invited to participate in the read aloud event.  Over fifty readers read aloud to students throughout the day in all of the grade level classes. It was an amazing day of reading and community. 

Over the weekend, author Kwame Alexander was able to rearrange his schedule and make a quick trip to visit us on February 29th from 9 -10am.  Kwame is excited to meet our kids, answer their questions and sign their copies of The Crossover. 

Copies of the book The Crossover are still available for sale for $10 in the media center (please send cash or check made out to BMS).
