School Library Books
As a friendly reminder, please continue to encourage students to return all school library books. Any school library books not returned to the school library by May 19th will be considered lost and a replacement fee will be added to the student's school account (Parent Portal). Students receive an email on Monday mornings notifying them of lost or overdue library books. Students are also able to log in to Destiny Quest using their school Gmail account username and password to check the status of their library account.  If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Swetnam, lswetnam@richland2.org

Scholastic BOGO Book Fair

Our hours for this fair will be as follows:

Summer Reading
Throughout the school year, we encourage students to read a variety of books and resources to expose them to different genres. This also allows students independence in making choices about what he/she wants to learn. Summertime is a great opportunity to continue this type of personalized learning as a family. Scholastic shares Three ways to prevent summer slide to help you get started.

Richland Library is kicking off their annual Summer Learning Challenge on June 1st where children and adults earn points for reading and attending public library events. Children and adults exchange points for prizes. At BMS, we encourage students to track their summer reading  and return a completed summer reading log in the fall at the start of school. Students that turn in a completed summer reading log are invited to a summer reading celebration held at the school during the school day.
