Counselor's Corner: Character the Blythewood Way...

Character the Blythewood Way:

Habit 5 -Seek First to Understand Then to be Understood-Listen Before You Talk. The spotlight Word of the Week is Patience...Patience is the ability to endure a long wait calmly or deal with annoying problems without frustration. The advantages of being Patient is that it allows you time for strategic thinking and completely evaluating a situation. Things have time to fall into place, presenting a clearer strategic view of what's taking place. You're okay with waiting until things calm down, putting you in a better position to make strategic decisions. Patience is not the ability to wait. Patience is to be calm no matter what happens, constantly take action to turn it to positive growth opportunities, and have faith to believe that it will all work out in the end while you are waiting. Patience is power.
