BMS Medication Pick-up and Student Item Pick-up/Drop-off Schedule...

Greetings Charger Families,

We hope that you are well and that you had a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day weekend.  At Blythewood Middle School, we continue to try to make the most of a school year that has been anything but normal.  Thank you parents for bearing with us during this time.

As you are aware, next week, beginning Monday, June 1st, families will be permitted to come to the school via a drive-thru format to pick-up and drop-off items for their student(s) from the school.  Any medication that was at the school will also be able to be picked up at this time.  Please adhere to the schedule and information listed below:

1.     Please use the front gate and follow the blue traffic line - this will help with the flow of traffic.

2.     Please bring with you:  textbooks, library books, and any other items that belong to the school.  (Chromebooks will remain with the student unless they are transferring out of the district)

3.     All  Non - Prescription MEDS have already been labeled with your student’s name, grade, and placed in a plastic bag in the student's other belongings.

4.     PRESCRIPTION MEDICATIONS must be picked up and signed for by the parent/guardian on file in Powerschool (no exceptions can be made). This includes: Prescription Pills, EPi Pens, Diastat, Benadryl and Asthma inhalers.   A table will be set up in the drive-thru pick up line.  Upon your entry to the drive-thru line, please give the school staff member your student’s name and your medication will be waiting for you at the end of the line.  Please be reminded that we will need your signature and an appropriate government issued ID.

5.     Meds not picked up by June 4th will be destroyed according to DHEC Guidelines.

If for any reason this schedule will not work for you, please feel free to contact Ms. Boineau in regards to medication and she will work out a date and time to pick up your student’s medicine.  You may contact the grade-level administrator regarding a time and date for student pick-up and drop-off if the times above are not conducive to your schedule.

One last gentle reminderRising 7th grade parents get your student's Tdap prior to the start of school this fall.  It is required by law.

Thank you all again for your assistance and hoping you all have a Happy and Healthy Summer.
